Trans-Habitat, 2011An interactive animation; concept piece for a broader installation about the endangered Mexican Wolf The animation follows the narrative of wolf-characters based on real wolves’ biographies. The wolf-characters’ stories will proceed with playable, embedded mini-games, engaging the viewer in the experiences of the Mexican Wolf in the wild, and exposing the threats to the population’s sustainability. Because of the nature of game-play, viewers have positive feelings about winning. These feelings will be juxtaposed with images of wolves succeeding and thriving in the wild. Visitors will carry this association away with them, hopefully inspiring them to visit the Wilderness and support the wolves. Use your mouse to click the buttons. Use your arrow keys to control the wolf.
